Why does firefox keep running different versions of java when it is updated in vista and xp as this causes firefox to hang until you disable the old java consoles

more options

When java console updates it does not remove the old console and Firefox keeps it enabled in vista and xp. This causes Firefox to hang when loading or even changing between tabs and gets worse with the more updates java has.
