Yeah I had a very similar problem too where my Logitech Performance MX would not go back n' forth in Firefox when pressing the respective buttons. A solution online was to change the buttons to "Generic button" in the mouse button configuration of Setpoint so that windows would handle the input for those two buttons. Frankly enough it worked.
