Firefox will not access the internet at all. This began suddenly and not immediately following a change in Firefox or my computer.

Did you make any hardware changes? What anti-virus/firewall program are you running? Also whats the exact error message?

No hardware changes. I've used AVG full version for several years without problem (no updates/changes in it recently). The message reads (blue bar at top) "problem loading page" and (window in center of page) "Unable to connect: Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at (name of any website)."

I have not made any software changes/updates at all. Firefox was working w/o problem. I shut it down and later opened it up with this problem. This is the first time this has ever happened.

Thanks for your time.

Unfortunately, I have tried each of the solutions listed at the Firefox link you mentioned, but the problem continues.

Maybe you have a malware infection.

See:

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
