I am running Nightly 14.0a1 (2012-03-19) and cannot turn of the auto-complete function for location bar. I have reset auto complete in about:config and also tried clear histroy and ccleamer. Any suggestions would be apprecited?

Looks that they have changed the default value of the browser.urlbar.autoFill pref to true in Firefox 13+, so auto-fill gets enabled by default.

You can toggle the value of the pref to false with a double click to disable auto-fill in the location bar.
