You can stop the script now, or you can continue to see if the script will complete. The following message, causing Firefox to be stuck and freezes, as is evident in the tab bar of Firefox. And I try to close some of the tab bar but is still unable to respond which means that I have to wait to be able to browse again.

This sort of message can have many causes, and is often due to a problem site or problem add-on.

  • do you only get the message on specific sites, or when doing certain tasks ?
  • What is the actual message, is it the same each time ?
  • to see if the problem relates to additional software try Firefox in safe mode
  • see also warning unresponsive script
