font size problems using Yahoo mail in Firefox
My wife uses Yahoo mail. When she is composing an email, the font size increases every time she starts a new paragraph! Soon, the letters are enormous. There seems to be no way of controlling this.
Yahoo mail works fine for her using Chromium and Opera browsers.

Sounds that a nested big attribute to increase the font gets inserted with every paragraph because the previous font tag didn't get closed properly and that causes to font size to increment every time.
Did you ever look at the HTML source of such an email message?
You will probably see the all font tags are closed at the end of the message if you select all text (Ctrl+A) and use View Selection Source in the right-click context menu (they may be missing in the page code).
I have had this same issue with ALL emails in Yahoo mail for more than a week - exactly as described above by 'fraxinus', yet the problem does not occur when using IE9.
I thought I would wait until the issues with FF 16.0.1 had been fixed (which apparently they have now) so today I downloaded this latest version of FF.
I have rebooted since installing 16.0.1 but the problem with Yahoo mail in Firefox is still present.
In EVERY email, new or when replying, each time I hit the return key the font increases one size. This appears to be rectified if each line of larger text is formatted, but this is a false view as the recipient of my email receives the email which has a font size increase on each line !
I had the same problem with increasing font sizes when composing messages in Yahoo mail.
I'm using FF 16.0.1 with the NoSquint extension.
What fixed the issue for me was going into the 'NoSquint Site Settings' for the Yahoo mail page and reducing the 'Text zoom level' from 120% to 100%.
After that there were no more font size increases on new messages.

I have been plagued with this problem AND fonts not displaying properly on some pages as well for months. I also have the NoSquint extension installed and modified my "Text zoom level" parameters accordingly and bingo--everything displays correctly. Thank you!

I have the same problem where the yahoo fonts keeps getting larger when starting a new paragraph. This happen since firefox 17. I don't have this problem with IE9 or Chrome.
That is this bug, fixed in Firefox 19 (currently beta)

I have upgrade to Firefox 19, font size problem still exist. Also, after change the font to smaller size to send. Reply email come back the font size is still getting larger!!
