I just updated FF to version 15.0.1 and all my bookmarks and history are missing! I've tried to restore them from FF bookmarks backup but was unable to. PLEASE HELP!

Thanks cor-el. That Didn't work BUT I tried this path and it WORKED!!! For anyone with the same issue, try this:
Quit Firefox if it's running. In the Finder, open the Library folder in your home folder (not the Library folder at the top level of your boot volume.) Enter Time Machine and restore the following items:
Library/Application Support/Firefox
Library/Application Support/Mozilla
Library/Preferences/org.mozilla.firefox.plist
Relaunch Firefox

You can't restore lost history unless you restore an older copy of the places.sqlite file, possibly from the Time Machine if you have it enabled.
You should be able to get the bookmarks back from a JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.
Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.

You can try to check and repair the places database with this extension.

You're welcome.
Sounds that you recovered the entire Firefox profile folder;
- /Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/
I'm not sure which Firefox files would be stored in Library/Application Support/Mozilla as that sounds more like a location used in old Mozilla Suite or SeaMonkey profiles.
