Hi There!

My fire fox browser is now unable to download files from file hosting websites. For example, Media Fire, if I to click "Download" it will just load and nothing else. No download pop up or anything. It will simply will just be "Loading". I tried to Right Lick > Save Link As but even the right click pop up menu would not appear. It not just media fire but other file hosting sites as well. I have fire fox on another computer, same version same everything, however it is able to download files from the hosting website normally. All my Plug-ins are up to date. I thought it might be because of the fire fox version but, again my other computer has the same version and it is fine.

Make sure that you do not block JavaScript.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

The problem still persist. Java is enable, tried running in safe mode but still unable to download. Also tried resetting and still unable to download. Uninstalled and Re-installed but still got the same results
