Latest firefox will not start after installing. Removed old profile manually. Reinstalled. Still no start. This happens only with one user on Windows 7 desktop system. Used to work fine before latest update. Some Norton software displays message: Updater.exe is safe.

Please try disabling your Firefox to see if it helps. Also try a reboot of your PC.

I don't understand what you mean by 'disable' firefox. How would that help. Rebooting did not help.

Hello,

Thank you for responding back. I would be glad to assist you further with the issue you are having.

I am sorry, it should say "disable your firewall".

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank You!

Best Regards,

There are three users on this computer. The same Firefox starts with two of them but not the third. So, I do not think the Norton firewall, which is always on, is the issue.

A key clue is the fact that each time I try to start the problem Firefox, I get a message from Norton regarding the updater.exe file. I don't understand this. I'll try disabling Norton and see what happens.
