Hi, Simple question but has bugged me for a long time using Firefox. When pasting links of a website in say Yahoo mail, unlike I.E. the text does not convert or be recognised as a link or hyperlink, so when the recipient receives the e-mail, they have to copy and paste the link text into the URL bar. This is even more annoying if the recipient uses a tablet. Using I.E. this is never a problem as copy and paste auto recognises it as a link and go blue and underline the text, etc. Same with pasting into MS: Word. I have Windows XP and another PC with Windows 7 and is the same problem on both operating systems. I am not a technical IT person but I'm, obviously missing a simple trick somewhere. Can anyone help? Many thanks, Pete.

There is usually a button bar with buttons to format text like Bold and Italic just above the text area where you compose and edit the message text.
That toolbar may also have a button to turn a text link into a clickable hyperlink (look for a chain like button).
You can select the link text and click that button to turn the link into a clickable hyperlink.
If you can't find the button then hover them all to check the tooltip of each (e.g. Insert hyperlink).
