Firefox still running after close, and once closed uses up to 4,000,000k of memory
When I exit firefox, task manager shows it as still running and I cannot open a new instance. The memory used after closing increases, so far the most it has shown to use is 4,000,000 k. Cheers.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
