When a new tab opens the cursor goes to address bar for search and not to the search engine I have set for a new tab page.

I went to about:config and changed keyword.enable to false. It works only for the homepage when Firefox is started.

How can I disable address search for a new tab like I did for my homepage?

What page do you use for the New tab page (about:config -> browser.newtab.url)?

Are you using any extensions that have to do with tabs?
