I installed Thunderbird for my multiple email accounts. Works fine with yahoo, aol, and Gmail. But, it will not get any messages from my web based Juno account. I've double checked all the settings (pop incoming, port 995, smpt outgoing, SSL encryption, etc.) and nothing works. I keep getting a message saying there are no new messages, but there are multiple new messages in the account. It does send.

Thanks

Make sure you do set 'Connection Security' to 'SSL/TLS' for POP as well.
The instructions on the Juno website are a bit unfortunate. By setting 'SSL/TLS', this will implicitly also set the port to 995.

Thanks. settings as per your suggestion. Server name pop.juno.com Port: 995 Connection Security: SSL/TLS Outgoing Server: tsraines - smtp.juno.com

I'm using free Juno webmail. The Juno site mentioned something about this won't work with free Juno webmail. Know anything about that. Wasn't an issue for Yahoo, AOL, or Gmail. Screen shot of settings attached.

Thunderbird connects to mail providers using the POP and IMAP mail protocols. If the provider does not support these protocols (or blocks access to them for certain customers) then Thunderbird can not work with that provider.

Have you followed these steps

To begin getting Juno email on your phone or other email program, change your Juno email settings with these simple steps:

1. Sign in to your Juno Email on the Web at webmail.juno.com 2. Click on "Options" and select "General," or click on "Settings" and select "POP Mail" under "Preferences" 3. Select "ON - POP my mail to my desktop/smartphone" 4. Click "Save" to finish per http://www.emaildiscussions.com/showthread.php?t=63731
