29.0.1 just installed on my PC automatically. After installing it takes 4-5 minutes for some websites to pull up when before it was under 3-4 seconds. Can I go back to previous version if so how or what is going on with 29.0.1 which slowed it down so much.

hello, normally such issues are caused by a firewall/security software which doesn't recognize & therefore blocks new firefox versions: Fix problems connecting to websites after updating Firefox

Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again:

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version)

  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs, then add it back. For detailed instructions, see Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet.
