Hi johnmarris,

Thank you for your question. This is Rachel from the Help Desk Team and I am happy to answer your question. Virgin Media has an email service that is compatible with Thunderbird. You can set up the imap server with the help on their site [A[hidenational][id+EmailCab]&PARENT_TOPIC_ID=-1&PARENT_TOPIC_TYPE=0&SOURCE_FORM=BROWSE_TOPIC&TOPIC_HIERARCHY=1023&TOP_LEVEL_TOPIC=-1&SIDE_LINK_TOPIC_ID=1023&SIDE_LINK_SUB_TOPIC_ID=-1&USERTYPE=1&CONFIGURATION=1001&PARTITION_ID=1&TIMEZONE_OFFSET= Virgin Media Email support].

However Thunderbird is an email client, and Firefox is a browser. The only registration needed is if you use Firefox Sync, also sometimes called Firefox accounts. This account will sync your preferences, history, bookmarks and add ons across the devices you attach the sync account to. The account is an email account, but is not your email provider password, these are different.

I hope this clears things up. Please post back with any other questions or if this helped.

Hi GUIGS2, Although I really don't understand your reply, the date has passed and nothing untoward has happened, so I guess the virgin media warning did not affect Mozzilla users. Thanks anyway
