How do I find a folder within a folder?

Some of my folders have disappeared. I can search for an e-mail within the folder, and the location lists the correct name of the folder. However, I cannot figure out how to find that folder so I can access it. Is there a way to trace where an e-mail is stored, or see a tree of folders that an e-mail is stored in? I'm using a MAC if if helps.

I have not tried it recently, but the script on my blog post might help http://thunderbirdtweaks.blogspot.com.au/2011/10/folders-can-be-confusing.html

Matt, Thanks for the comment. I pasted the code into the error console and after clicking on Evaluate, nothing happened. Maybe I did something wrong?
