That starts to happen after updating from 28 to 32 (not shure about 28).

1. Download anything 2. Download finished, but download manager (default or any plugin) still have this file freezed on 1 second 3. I can't cancel it, pressing on "x" pause it. 4. When I exit Firefox it asks, "cancel 2 downloads?" 4. After restarting It starts downloading this file again. But now I can cancel it.

Tried in the safe mode, same result. Downloads are kept in downloads.json, I can delete them manualy to prevent downloading again after restarting.

Are you using the Firefox 32.0 release or the 32.0b9 which had this downloads not completing bug

This issue can be caused by an extension that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window
more options

Open your add-ons manager. Disable a few add-ons, then Restart Firefox. If the problem continues, disable some more (restarting FF). Continue until the problem is gone. After, you know what group is causing the issue. Re-enable the last group ONE AT A TIME (restarting FF) until the problem returns.

Once you think you found the problem, disable that and re-enable all the others, then restart again. Let us know who the suspect is detective.

I wrote twice that I tried safe mode without addons, including in the header.

Safe mode has the same result. It is not addons who make this.

It was 32.0 in "about Firfox". But seems like it was it. I updated to 33 and bug dissapeared.

I will set "check for updates" then

33.0 is on the Beta channel so if it updated to 33.0b1 then you are using the Beta channel which can have 6 to 12 Beta builds for a version. A easy way to get back to Release channel is to install the current Release from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

The 32.0 Release has the fix.

I'll change to Release channel. I don't know why I am on Beta channel

Than you
