I may have misunderstood sync?
I may have misunderstood the concept of Sync but my problem is that I had synced my browser on my first computer (not to any other computer) and then i wanted to sell my computer so I cleared all the data and sold it. A few weeks later I bought a brand new computer and tried to sync my data (favorites, websites, etc) but nothing has synced. So I guess my question is should my info etc. have been saved somewhere in your guys servers or do I have to have two or more devices syncing with each other?

If you didn't "unlink" Sync before deleting all your data from the old PC, and were connected to the internet, your data was probably wiped from the Sync server as it was being cleared - depending on how you cleared that data.
What was the last version of Firefox you were using on the computer you sold? And which version of Firefox did you install on the new computer?
Firefox 29 had a new version of Sync, which had major changes over Firefox 28 in the way Sync works. Firefox 29 also required the user to update their Sync account.

hello, sync is built for keeping multiple connected devices on the same level. it might work as a backup but there are no guarantees on it...
So there is no way to recover my lost info and stuff?
