Bookmarks is annoying/not intuitive

Why over complicate things? You think i have time to spend categorizing fricken bookmarks?!?! Why not just give me a easy to see button i can click and see ALL my bookmarks at once, with just one click?

And whats up with hiding the tools above the address bar by default? What's up this fancy stuff? Simple is good, unnecessary fancyness is not.

The bookmarks system has been pretty much the same as it has been since Firefox 3.0 was released back in June 2008. It looks like you are using the Ubuntu built version of Firefox, from there repository or as part of their installation. They do modify the Firefox UI a bit, so what you are complaining about probably isn't something that Mozilla created, but rather a change that Ubuntu made in their version of Firefox.

As far as viewing your bookmarks all at once, you can use { Ctrl + B } to open the Bookmarks Sidebar or use { Ctrl + Shft + B } to open the Library window. Beyond that I am not familiar with the UI of the Ubuntu version as far as the Toolbar button layout or if there is a way to show the traditional Menu Bar or not. Might be best for you to ask for help from the Ubuntu support fora. http://ubuntuforums.org/
