Hi. I am using FF33.0 and if I watch Silverlight videos I can't minimize or change the tab without getting sound problems. It sounds like video would slow down and thus distorting the sound.

The sound stops distorting after 30sec-5min after the tab is changed or window minimized. If I change it back to the tab where Silverlight video is playing and the sound is distorting it stops immediately.

I have tried to reset FF and uninstall and re-install.

The problem is limited to FF only. Chrome and IE work fine.

Thank you for any help!

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} While you are in safe mode;

Type about:preferences<Enter> in the address bar

Select Advanced > General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Poke around safe web sites. Are there any problems?

Then restart.
