I had some bookmarks on my Mozilla browser.I don't remember the account on whose name it was signed up.But since we had to upgrade the operating system. the bookmarks and browsing history got deleted.How to restore them back?

If you made a back up of the profile folder they may still be in the places.sqlite file. Check out this article to show you where they are Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles

Otherwise, I am sorry the data is gone if there was no backup.

The data from the old system may have been saved, depending on how you did the upgrade. Open your file browser to C:\ In the search box, type in Firefox. This may take some time. Once the search is done, look for Firefox directories, and check what folder it is in.
