I cannot send messages to collective addresses using Thunderbird 31.5.0. i had this problem previously some time last year but it was quickly resolved. As suggested i removed the space in the name of the collective address list and now i get this message:

An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: 5.1.2 We weren't able to find the recipient domain. Please check for any 5.1.2 spelling errors, and make sure you didn't enter any spaces, periods, 5.1.2 or other punctuation after the recipient's email address. bx3sm13828525wjc.21 - gsmtp. Please check the message recipient Neighbourhood_Watch and try again.

Please can somebody help.

How about sticking to your original question and not posting multiple times for the same issue?https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1053370

I am really sorry if I have upset you by posting the same message twice. I only registered for the Forum this morning and this was my first message. I clicked Send before I received the email to confirm my address. I therefore assumed that the message had not gone.

I apologize for this and can assure you that I will not do it again.

If you are able could you give me some pointers as to what is happening. On looking at my Outbox it looks as though the message did go even though I got the error message.
