I'm configuring TB on a new Windows 8.1 machine. I saved a password on my main email account but did not save it for other accounts. On Windows 7 this works as expected and only asks for the other passwords when I click on their inboxes, Windows 8.1 however prompts me for all other passwords as soon as TB starts up. Why the difference? They are both the latest version. Any work arounds for this? It is extremely annoying.

Chosen solution

Go to Account Settings -> Server Settings -> in the middle of the screen uncheck "Check for new messages at startup" and uncheck "Check for new messages every ..." Then TB will only ask for the password when you click on the Inbox OR if you click "Get Messages" without specifying which one!
