I have noticed after the recent update to Firefox Version 37.0.1 I am getting this message when trying to log into some sites.

Secure Connection Failed

The connection to web4.secureinternetbank.com was interrupted while the page was loading.

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified. Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

What do I need to do to correct this issue. I have not had any problems in the past, it just seems to be an issue since the current update. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have already cleared all history, cookies and cache. No change.

Thanks!!

The website may try to fallback to TLS 1.0 in a way that is no longer allowed in current releases and also uses a deprecated RC4 cipher suite.

  • TLS_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_SHA

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar and use its search bar to locate this pref:

  • security.tls.insecure_fallback_hosts

You can double-click the line to modify the pref and add the domain to this pref. If there are already websites (domains) in this list then add a comma and the new domain (no spaces). You should only see domains separated by a comma in the value column.

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.

I am not really sure what it is you are asking me to do. I try to steer clear from the about.config page as much as possible so I am not very familiar with it. This is the part I am unsure of...

When I go to about.config and put in, security.tls.insecure_fallback_hosts I come up with 2 results. Not sure if you need to know those or not, but I am unsure what to do after that step.

Just tried doing that and I am still getting the same result. I noticed I am getting the grey warning triangle as well on this site. It has always been a secure connection site, and I have never had the warning triangle before until the update. I tried logging into the same site on a different computer in my home, same issue. I tried going through IE and it works fine. My fiance logged in just fine earlier from work on his work computer.
