When I click a link that opens a new window, the new window is missing the bookmarks toolbar as well as several add-on icon links on the main toolbar. Also, URL address field can not be edited in the new window.

Mac OS 10.10.3 (Yosemite) Firefox 38.0

Hello,

If the bar is completely missing:

Right click anywhere on your toolbar (other than inside the Search bar or Address bar) to bring up a context menu Select "Bookmarks toolbar" Alternatively (and this is also if your bar is there but not showing any bookmarks):

Go to your configuration page, either by: Enter about:customizing in your address bar New Fx Menu > Customize Click the "Show/hide toolbars" at the bottom of the page and make sure "Bookmarks Toolbar" is checked On this same page, make sure that "Bookmarks Toolbar Items" is on the Bookmark Toolbar

See:

You can try to set dom.disable_window_open_feature prefs to true

  • dom.disable_window_open_feature.location = true
  • dom.disable_window_open_feature.personalbar = true

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
