Firefox v40.0.2 on WinXP no loger plays YouTube Audio. All other audio and websites are OK. Anyone know what to do???

So not even with a Flash Player update, this "no audio" problem exists. All other audio settings are good. Wish Mozilla would have a straight solution for this and STOP sending forum users on wild chases. Something other than whats posted is obviously wrong!

You get video without the audio?

Could you check which player YouTube is using, the HTML5 player or the Flash player? Usually you can determine this by right-clicking the video and checking the last item on the short context menu that displays. If Firefox's right-click context menu displays, you can press and release the Alt key to clear that.

If the problem is with the HTML5 player, you could try one of these extensions to force YouTube to use the Flash player plugin instead:
