I found this program running after bootup - CertUtil.exe - before Firefox was started.
win7 - appdata/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/profiles/default/CertUtils/CertUtil.exe also found CertUtils.zip file and CertUtils directory with a date created very different than the install date of Firefox. Mozilla Firefox39 install date of 07-17-15 and this zipfile/ directory/program was installed on 07-27-15.
Is this program/directory part of Firefox??
Any idea why this program was running during bootup??

The CertUtil.exe file is used to access and modify the cert8.db file in the Firefox profile folder.
Did you always download and install a Firefox version from the Mozilla server?
There shouldn't be any reason to have this utility installed and running.
Do you have any extensions that relate to certificates or security, or which are unknown? You can view, disable, and often remove extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right. If in doubt, disable.
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
You can update your Adobe Acrobat plugin from within Adobe Reader/Acrobat using its Help menu to "Check for Updates".
