When I start up my computer and open firefox a "save as" window launches with my homepage as if someone has right clicked and selected save as. This only does it when first logging in after a bootup, if i close out of firefox and reopen it I don't have this problem anymore.

Does Firefox load on it's own, or are you starting it?

After your next reboot, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Does it make a difference if you wait a bit longer before starting Firefox in case your security software isn't fully initialized?

You can try to use a blank page as the startup page.

Start Firefox with the about:blank page by creating a copy of the current Firefox desktop shortcut. Add a space and -url "about:blank" to the target field in the Properties.
