Since Thunderbird is not an email provider, which provider does Thunderbird recommend most?

I am leaving Time Warner Cable and want to find an email provider that I will keep for the rest of my life, hopefully. I am wanting one that does not scan my emails for third party business opportunities. I do want a provider that protects against viruses and spam. I wish Thunderbird could be my provider. I believe that Thunderbird would do everything that I want and more.

Hi

Thunderbird is brilliant email management software, but it is not an email service provider.

There are many different providers available, too many for us to be able to give a fair comparison. I recommend looking at the features and interfaces of two or three and seeing which one best meets your needs.
