I am deploying Firefox as part of the company standard image for our laptops. We have certificates that we need installed on these machines during the imaging process. Is there a way to configure Firefox to retrieve the custom certificate database the first time Firefox is opened? We do not want to have the users calling the help desk for assistance to install the certificates. Thanks.

The file structure is different in the 46.0.1 version. I found the omni.ja file in three different locations. I tried to add the custom cert8.db file in omni.ja. The custom certificates were not installed.

yes, the way to configure the contents of a new profile by preloading things like the certs database in a folder in the installation directory won't work anymore since firefox 46 unfortunately. please try the cck2 addon as well which helps you to set-up an autoconfiguration which can easily be deployed.
