The default e-mail software does not support the automatic attachment function and cannot run. Help! I'd like to download videos from my camera to my e-mail.

Since I cannot directly download photos or videos from my camera to Facebook or my desktop (can't figure that out!), I'm trying to e-mail the media to my account (Thunderbird) (debeer@comcast.net). I keep getting an error message: The default e-mail software does not support the automatic attachment function and cannot run. Check the settings of e-mail software.

Sounds to me like you are using software that only works with Microsoft Outlook.

For my camera, I simply open it in windows explorer (IT shows up as a drive with files) and copy stuff to and from the camera like any other computer disk drive.
