I was unable to log in to the forums so I asked for a password reset and received no email from Firefox with the password reset and no indication that there was a problem. Are the username and password for mozilla support separate from the ones used for Firefox?

No, this Firefox Support forum has a separate "username / password" system from all the other Mozilla / Firefox systems.

"Firefox Accounts" is a move to get all of those separate "Logins" systems made universal, but it will take some time. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/access-mozilla-services-firefox-accounts

Under the heading of "What services can I use with Firefox Accounts?" there are a few more than what are listed. 1. The Addons website - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ - now uses the Firefox Accounts system. 2. The Add-ons support forum does too. - https://discourse.mozilla-community.org/c/add-ons
