With the recent "update" I am having this problem too. Browsing has become a royal PITA. 27 windows open at the same time? This looks like nobody tested it before FORCING the update that didn't need to be updated.

What is in the tab/windows?

Separate Issue: Update your Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.

Flash Player Version: 22.0.0.209 Flash Player (Linux) Version 11.2.202.632

https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ Direct link scans current system and browser Note: Other software is offered in the download.

https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, Win IE . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download.

Fred McD Thank you for your response but I'm not that versed in dealing with this and your response is over my head. I don't see what this has to do with a window and a tab opening. That said the window opens the clicked link and the tab opens "yahoo search".

Just tell us what you don't understand.

That said the window opens the clicked link and the tab opens "yahoo search".

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>)<Shift> A)

In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Remove yahoo Anything. Now do the same in the computers Programs Folder.

Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

I think Fred was suggesting that your FlashPlayer appears to be out of date and it should be updated. That may not be directly related to the immediate problem but it would be a good idea to update it.

The main thing to do is download and install the new update from Adobe. If you visit their site you will be able to confirm you have an old FlashPlayer installed, check the latest version and get the new installer
