Login to server failed. I have two POP accounts that used to work fine. I cannot enter proper password and send. Upgrade switched problems to other account.

I have a message "Login to server XXXXX failed" and I cannot send the message. I have two POP accounts that both used to work fine for years. It started with failing to accept password for one of them. There were no add ons or changes to viral/firewall system. Apparently, it began after an update to Thunderbird (also, I'm on Windows 8.1 6.3.9600 ).

At times it would allow me to input the password after several tries for the account that would not send. Mostly not though. I would have to change the outgoing mail address to get my messages out.

Now the damn thing has switched the accounts that fail and work. The one that was working fine now fails and the one that was failing now works.

What up?
