my home page is Xfinity. I can no longer watch videos on the home page. Firefox displays a banner saying: firefox prevented this page from automatically reloading. The videos will never play. I click on allow button but the same banner keeps being displayed.

Let's try this:   3-bar menu > Options > Advanced > General :
uncheck the option   'Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page'
