I'm trying to copy my email from Office 365 Outlook which is POP across to a local copy of Thunderbird. I'm new to Thunderbird so I've installed Thunderbird version 45.5.0 and connected it to Office 365. I can send and receive and read office365 email just fine and Thunderbird syncs with the inbox in Office365. Great However this only uses my inbox/outbox. What I can't find a way of doing from within Thunderbird is to copy/access my sent folder and other email folders and sub-folders which exist on office 365 outlook. I've searched for add-ons which will do the job but can only find out of date ones which don't seem to work with the latest version of TB. I can't believe that what I'm trying to do is unusual. How can I copy all my existing office365 outlook folders/sub-folders/structure across into Thunderbird ?

Hi Bruce

I found the import option but it only appears to work with a local version of outlook i.e. loaded on the same machine as TB.

What I need to do is import my folders from web based office365 outlook and the import wizard just hangs when you click import from Outlook as though it can't locate the web based Office365

Any ideas?

kind regards

Brian Stead

MailStore Home is a free program that I've used successfully to backup e-mail messages from one program, then export to another. I haven't used it with online Office Outlook, but that webpage says it will work. The program also has the capability to backup e-mails directly through POP & IMAP.
