1. How to automate the download/sync automatically? Inspite of chosing 'keep messages for this account on this computer' and 'Synchronise all messages regardless of age' , I have to manually sync by going to the File->Offline->Download/Sync.

2. Moving files from a folder to another, and saving a sent message in the 'Sent Items' folder locally also happens only after the above, or invoking the folder. This obviously does not happen when offline. The system seems to first update the webserver, and later when synced manually or invoked only does it sync locally. What settings to do, so that locally the messages are moved, and be synced to the webserver later?

just check the following Right click the account in the folder pane and select settings. Select server settings for the account. Are check for new messages at startup, every 10 minutes and allow immediate server notification selected? They should be.

Is the small icon in the bottom left corner of the screen blue or black and white with a red cross?
