Windows 10 - I can't make Firefox ESR my default browser
I'm using Firefox ESR 52.3.0 (32-bit) on Windows 10. I'm unable to make Firefox my default browser, as it doesn't show up in the available apps in the Windows 10 Settings. Here's a screenshot: https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/304023625994862603/350437623912857601/unknown.png
Chosen solution
See:
Start > Default Programs > Set program access and computer defaults Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs > Set program access and computer defaults
Click Microsoft Edge under Web Browser. That should bring up a list of all available browsers where you can select Firefox.

Open Windows Internet Explorer. Have it declared as the default browser, But turn off the option to check this when the browser opens (If you want).
Now do the same thing using Firefox.
- Win:10:Default

Do I declare IE as default in the browser or in the settings? I'm confused.
Changing the setting in the browser makes the browser change the computer's settings.

Oh, okay. So, I went into settings and made IE my default browser, but Firefox still doesn't show up in the menu. What am I doing wrong?
You're not using the Portable Firefox ESR 52.3.0 version, are you?
Portable Apps can't be made the default application for anything, nothing with Portable Apps gets written to the Windows Registry.

Worked, nice. Thanks!
Following these instructions did not work:
'Start > Default Programs > Set program access and computer defaults
Control Panel > Programs > Default Programs > Set program access and computer defaults
Click Microsoft Edge under Web Browser. That should bring up a list of all available browsers where you can select Firefox.
The above solution did not work because when I clicked "Microsoft Edge" under Web Browser, the "Firefox" icon did NOT appear.
Thank you,
