What is Get Add-ons for?

When a person want to find an Add-on to add to the browser, one would select Tools>Add-ons>Get Add-ons. However, that is not of any value. The real method appears to be to select Tools>Add-ons>Extensions and use the search at the top of the page.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.

IMO, that Get Add-ons item is good for one thing - to slow you down when you and thousands of other users open the Add-ons Manager at the same time and the server that loads that information becomes overloaded.

I just block that menu item from showing at all, so it always defaults to showing the Extensions tab.

Yes that Search field in the Extensions tab of the Add-on Manager does work better or do as FredMcD mentioned.
