System: Windows 8.1 (64-Bit) Firefox: 57.0b6 (64-Bit)

I've configured Firefox to show PDFs using the integrated PDF viewer. But instead the download dialog pops up everytime I click on a PDF link.

What I've done so far:

  1. Checked settings - "Portable Document Format (PDF)" is configured to "Vorschau in Firefox"
  2. Made sure no other PDF addon is installed (just Bitwarden, Adguard and Translate Now)
  3. Made sure "pdfjs.disabled" option is set to "false"
  4. Made sure "plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types" option is set to ""
  5. Closed Firefox and deleted the mimeTypes.rdf file from the profile directory

hi, web servers can also specify that a file should get explicitly downloaded - you could try the following extension to work around that: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/always-preview-webextension/
