can't follow microsoft links
It looks like I get just one Microsoft.com visit per Firefox session. Trying to follow any further links within Microsoft.com sets the little "busy" indicator spinning, but does nothing. The current page stays put. Even typing "Microsoft.com" into the address bar on a new tab yields the same results: nothing!
I see the same problem restarting in safe mode with Add-ons disabled.
Per another report, I checked "accessibility.blockautorefresh" and it is false.
Firefox Quantum 57.0 (64-bit) Windows 10 Pro, full up-to-date
Example: Google "microsoft surface book 2" None of the Microsoft.com links in the results work. All other links work OK.
I can't recall if this ever worked since the Firefox Quantum update. But I'm sure it was not a problem before that!
Chosen solution
uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

I've exhausted all my own ideas, including but not limited to: Firefox refresh, un/reinstalling Firefox, disabling firewall, checking 'hosts' file, etc.
Microsoft Edge and Chrome do not have this issue. Same Firefox/Windows 10 versions on other computers in my house do not have this issue. There are no issues with XBOX.com or Office.com.
I know it sounds totally bizarre, but I'm stuck. Any visit to Microsoft.com requires me to use another browser. Very frustrating!!

The 'deep cleanse' uninstall seems to have worked. For now, at least. ;) Thanks a lot!
