Filter not deleting emails it's supposed to.

I've set up a filter to delete new messages from a particular address, but I'm still getting them.

In 'Filter Rules' I have 'Getting New Email' ticked and 'Filter Before Junk Classification' is in the box beside it. 'Match all of the following' is ticked and 'From' and 'is' are selected in the boxes below it. And 'Delete Message' is selected under 'Perform these actions'.

Incidentally, the email address belongs to Pinterest: I unsubscribed numerous times with no effect and I finally lost patience and closed my account - and I'm still getting numerous emails a day!

I'll try altering to 'Filter After Junk Classification' - it's about the only thing I've got left to try ...

re: 'From' and 'is' are selected in the boxes below it.

suggest you try 'From' and 'contains' and Pinterest email address...assuming it is always the same or just the word 'pinterest'

Thanks Toad-Hall.

I've just tried that, so I'll give it a day or so to see if it works, and report back.

Nope. That didn't work. Still getting the emails.

That was with the email address and with 'contains' selected. I've just created a new rule with just 'pinterest' instead of the email address and with 'contains' - so I'll give that a day and see how it goes. And I'm still 'unsubscribing' every time I get one of these damn emails.

That didn't work either.

That seems to have got it working. I've had an email from them and it went directly to the 'Deleted' folder, as it should.
