WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET SOME HELP WITH FIREFOX?

I HAVE RECENTLY UPGRADED TO THE LATEST AND SUPPOSEDLY GREATEST VERSION OF FIREFOX. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT TROUBLE SINCE. IT IS SO BAD THAT I HAVE SWITCHED TO GOOGLE CHROME. I like Firefox and have used it exclusively since it was first launched. But after the last upgrade, it is very, very intermittent only allowing me to type for say 10 seconds and then pausing on its own. In other words, the cursor flashes but I cannot see anything that I type for seconds.

I run streaming audio continuously and it too pauses indiscriminately.

What I would really like to do is reinstall the last version of Firefox prior to the current release. And please, do not refer me to the Firefox website as it is as useless as a screen door on a submarine. For that matter, anything to do with the Firefox website is extremely challenging.

Can I please get a step 1, step 2, step 3 guide to reinstalling the previous version? Then I can upgrade when the bugs are worked out of the current version.

Using all Caps is considered shouting and is rude. Support Volunteers are here to help, not be shouted at.

The probable fix to your issue if you had contacted us would have been to : Go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Help ? --> Troubleshooting Information Page and take a look in the Accessibility section if accessibility is set to "true" there. if yes, go to the Firefox 3 Bar Menu --> Options --> Privacy & Security panel and under Permissions check the setting to Prevent Accessibility Services from accessing your browser.

Also to Update your Video Card Drivers as old and or corrupted drivers cause a wide range of issues.

If you choose to investigate if these would help you then Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

The info you requested : Going back : unfortunately 56.0.2 and below is no longer safe to use for every day use do to secuity issues, but 52.5.0 ESR is. It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.

You should make a backup of your Profile before going back and just because: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles
