Hello there,

I've ran into problem where session.js cannot be found anymore in profile folder of firefox 57. I also tried replacing the file in sessionstore-backups folder, but still no luck. It keeps restoring the previous session, instead of my backup session.

Can anyone tell me what am i doing wrong in here? Does firefox update anything? Any feedback of you would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I'd like to say thank you to effort of any resources providing here. I gave myself a try, and found out that i just rename prevous.jsonlz4 to sessionstore.JSONLZ4 and replace it in the profile folder. Reopening the browser and click restore previous session, it works.

Anyway, i hope it will help other who facing the same problem.

See if you can find updates for your Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400 as they are a yrs old : driverDate: 1-29-2014 You can Google Intel(R) HD Graphics 4400 and find the download page https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/81497/Intel-HD-Graphics-4400, but you may have to know what generation chipset you are using. CPU-Z would tell you this https://www.cpuid.com/ Can also try : https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html I errors in the drivers. Old & corrupted Drivers cause a wide range of issues. Please keep them updated to prevent issues and you never know when Intel will stop supporting them.

Ok.......if you can not find them then possibly out of luck...look for any recovery.js, recovery.bak and previous.js https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/import-bookmarks-html-file and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recover-lost-or-missing-bookmarks and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles
