Whenever I play a video in full screen on YouTube Firefox puts my phone in horizontal mode and if I let the video play till the end it gets stuck in horizontal mode.

Chosen solution

You can disable this "feature" using about:config. Find the entry media.videocontrols.lock-video-orientation and toggle its value to false.
