I accidentally deleted some messages in a windows xp vm. But they were also deleted from the server so they were deleted from my main thunderbird on my host win 7. I undeleted them on the xp VM and got a dbx of 115 MB. I import them into thunderbird but the folder seems empty. When imported it says 0 messages size on disk 0KB but it is 115MB?

Has thunderbird got any bak up files of them which would be on the host?

UPDATE In my profile on my windows 7 i found an inbox at C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\XXXXXXXX.default\ImapMail\webmail.eir.ie which is the folder. How to restore it to t bird as email. when i open in notepad i see some messages but also lots of gobblygook like the path the email took etc

EDIT I think the INBOX.msf file may be corupt .It says 30.kb i message evn though the INBOX file is 112 with a couple hundred messages. i tried right click repair. Nothing happens except the 112 MB INBOX goes back to 30.kb. So I copy the 112 back in to profile. I had kept a copy of the 112MB before clicking repair. It seems the index is missing. Is this backed up anywhere. Would i get it if i did a system restore to before the mail waas deleted?

Thanks
