I'm using OSX 10.7.5 on an older mac book pro. I wish to transfer all my Firefox data/files/bookmarks/etc to a newer mac book pro with current osx. I've installed a the lastest Firefox version on the newer Mac but no other information.

Best would be to install Firefox 48 on that new computer and then update to the current release in one or more stages. That way possible migrate code can do its job and properly update all files to the currently used version and the risk of dataloss is much lower.
