Firefox profile missing mac
I've recently encountered this issue with Firefox(Quantum) - It can be found on the picture uploaded.
I have tried all the solutions given in the forum but none of them worked. Tried deleting the profile.ini profile. Tried clearing the cached, reinstalled firefox again but even that did not work. Please let me know if there is a fix for this. I use MacOs.

Hi, Open Finder > Go Hold CMD button to Display the Library. Goto Library Folder > Application Support > Firefox > Profile Folder
Copy the folder to desktop and uninstall firefox and restart your system.
- folder name ends with ".default"
Download firefox and install it. After that move your content from old profile to new profile.
Profile Backup and Restore
I don't have Firefox under Application Support as I had deleted that as an attempt to solve the issue.
Note that this is the Library folder in your home directory and not the global Library folder. The "~/Library" folder is a hidden folder.
Did you previously found the profiles.ini file?
- ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/
There might be a problem with permissions/ownership of involved folders/files preventing access.

You can try these steps:
- delete the profiles.ini file to make Firefox create a new (default) profile
- use the Profile Manager to create a new profile

Note that you should never use "Choose Folder" to specify a folder that already contains files that do not belong to Firefox. Only use "Choose Folder" to recover an profile that isn't listed in the Profile Manager.
If this didn't work then check the read/write permissions and owner or remove the Mozilla/Firefox folder in both main/root and cache locations.
Location of the cache files.
- Mac: ~/Library/Caches/Firefox/Profiles/
Deleted profile.ini manually. Deleted All possible caches related to Mozilla and Firefox. Nothing Worked. Still shows the same "Profile missing. The profile cannot be loaded error." Any other solutions?
