I am so thankful for your help! YES it worked and now all is well. Being not very techie has it's issues when something happens and having a neuro disease that stress makes worse doesn't help! You were wonderful and very helpful! I greatly appreciate it!!! I love Thunderbird.....it's very easy to use for a pea-brain like me :) Have a wonderful rest of the year!!!

Error: Platform version '60.1.1' is not compatible with minVersion >= 60.2.1 maxVersion <= 60.2.1 with a BIG RED circle and X in it off to the left of the above statement. It all of a sudden appeared when I went to send an email yesterday about 2:30 pm CDT..... THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I so miss my Thunderbird email use!

just try reinstalling from getthunderbird.com

I am not sure exactly what has gone wrong with your install, the error looks/sounds like you got half an update. A reinstall should fix it.

I wasn't doing an install was I? I have had Thunderbird for years and have used it with no problems at all. I will try reinstalling it. I truly miss the way Thunderbird works and how easy it is to set up folders and just use in general. Thank you. I hope this works and I do not loose all of my folders and emails. I can't even open it now to save them to an external drive......

My guess (I was not sitting in your chair) is that Thunderbird updated and something went wrong. This is often caused by anti virus programs. However do we really have to go into what I think might have happened and what might occur next or who you get the message. My focus is getting you doing what you were doing. Not giving lectures on how it works. I keep getting into trouble for that!

Just reinstall to fix it as it will replace the program files that have the bad version information in them.
