Windows 8.1 TB 60.3.0 Lightning 6.23

I had found previously that the reminders in Lightning were not using the default setting even though the calendar was set to have a default of 1 hour as a reminder. I had to go back to Provider for Google 3.3 to get this to work.

Now after the update yesterday the same issue has happened again.

Previous versions of Provider for Google add-on do not work with TB 60.3.0.

I don't remember to set the reminder to 1 hour when I'm adding events in Lightning no matter how hard I try. I'm so used to the default reminder working.

Do we know when this will be working?

Is my only option to go back to an earlier version of TB and Lightning to get this functionality back?

have you tried setting the defaults in Options > calendar > reminders?

Like turning on reminders and setting a default time

The default settings were there already and I've tried re-setting them again.

As I said this was an existing issue in the Provider for Google and it doesn't seem to have been fixed for this release. If I could go back to release 3.3 I would since I know that one worked.

Previous reminders that have been set, and manual reminders work just not the default setting for the reminders when creating an event.

Is there a bug for it in bugzilla?

I don't know whether there is a bug for it in bugzilla. I wouldn't even know how to check for it.

There are plenty of can't stop remoinders bug going back lots of years. I so no can not get reminders.

I am still unsure what the problem is. I can find no setting in the provider to modify any of the reminder settings. I must therefore assume we are seeing something related to gmail calendar and Lighting.

To go further I would need to set up a gmail calendar using the provider as I do not use it, I use caldav. I have no use for Google tasks so the provider offers nothing to me.

This was working in the previous release of TB and with Provider for google 3.3 for me.

I think I may have to go back to that. I just wish I had taken a copy of my set up back then so I knew what my set up was when it was working.

I've decided that I've taken too long over this upgrade and I can't trust what's going on so I took backups of my profile and I've gone back to TB 52, Lightning 5.4 and Provider for Google 3.3.

I'll check in a month or so whether TB 60 and Lightning 6.23 is any better.

No it doesn't sound like either of those. Thanks for coming back to this.

It's far simpler in that the default reminders did not work when creating a new event in Lightning. I went back to an old version of TB / Lightning and Google Provider that works and I've been too busy to test the latest version again.

It seems to be an issue with Provider for Google Addon looking at the reviews and the Google group.
